Vorsite’s origins extend back to a leading global software company. Our founders were deeply involved in the development of products that would redefine the way global companies manage and interact with their operational documents and data.
From this inside perspective, they recognized an emerging need for a robust and flexible software framework that would enable the seamless integration of new collaboration software with current and future enterprise content management (ECM) solutions. Vorsite was established in 2000 to provide innovative integration solutions focused on streamlining enterprise-wide collaboration and access to content.
The release of Microsoft SharePoint in 2001 galvanized the direction of the ECM market for the foreseeable future. In 2003, the Vorsite team began rolling out Content and Search Connector products specifically to integrate back-end content management solutions, such as Documentum and FileNet, with SharePoint.
Before long, industry leaders such as Microsoft and EMC recognized the importance of Vorsite’s products in maximizing the value of their own solutions, which resulted in strategic partnerships with Vorsite.
